“Share The Color” Food Workshops Offered For Chattanooga Area Children And Families

  • Monday, July 16, 2018

Local Registered Dietitians and Subway restaurants in the Chattanooga area will be helping families learn about nutritious food choices during several free food workshops, hosted at local city libraries in the Chattanooga area.

The free food workshops will cover basic nutrition information and include a hands-on sub making activity and free lunch. Children will receive a take-home food exploration coloring book.

The “Share the Color” food workshops are designed to teach children how to make good food choices and the importance of making colorful fruits and vegetables part of their daily meals and snacks.

Subway restaurant owners are hosting the workshops at local libraries to educate kids on nutritious eating and make sure they look for a lot of color variety on their plate. Subway restaurants have a fresh line-up of vegetables for their made-to-order sandwiches and salads.

Space is still available and registration is required. Parents can sign up for the food workshops at local library locations in person or over the phone.

The workshops will be at the following locations:
