An Excellent Commissioner – Greg Martin

  • Monday, July 16, 2018

I have had the privilege of serving with Commissioner Greg Martin for several years now.  In my opinion, he has been an excellent commissioner and has represented the people in District 3 faithfully and with integrity.

There are several characteristics which place Commissioner Martin in the “excellent” category.  First, he is regular in his attendance of Commission and Committee Meetings, as well as budget workshops sponsored by the County Mayor.  Accordingly, he has an in depth working knowledge of the issues before the Commission at any given time.  Second, he studies the issues and asks questions in order to be more fully informed before he votes on a resolution.  You can be assured that Commissioner Martin does not cast a frivolous vote.  Third, he is engaged in his District.  He attends community meetings, school functions, and individual events in order to maintain communication with his constituents.  He knows what is going on in District 3.  Fourth, he has a very good grasp of the rules of parliamentary procedure.  He does not get lost in Commission meetings because he does not know the correct procedure.  In my opinion, the people of District 3 could not find a more qualified Commissioner than Greg Martin.
