Mrs. Octie Lee Griffith Stamper, 94, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2018.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Nancy Ramsey (Jack) and Ruthie McEntyre (Charles); two granddaughters, Rhonda Farriss (Terry) and Allison Gaharan (John); and four great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Farriss, Tanner Farriss, Eamon Gaharan and Carey Mac Gaharan.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Rufus Stamper; her parents, Delilah and James Griffith; and her brothers, Barney and Arthur Griffith.
She is survived by her loving sister, Mamie Green, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, July 15, with the funeral to be held at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 16, with Rev. Brenda Woods presiding.
Octie will be interred at Griffith Creek Congregational Methodist Cemetery.
