The Tennessee Valley Authority’s Regional Resource Stewardship Council will meet Monday and Tuesday, July 30 and 31, in Chattanooga to discuss TVA’s Natural Resource activities and hear public comments regarding those activities.
The council and public will receive information on TVA’s planned update to its 2011 Natural Resource Plan, river management topics and an overview of Natural Resources ongoing management efforts on public land and waters.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at the Westin Hotel, 801 Pine St. in Chattanooga, on Monday from 8:30 a.m.-noon and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-noon.
The RRSC will hear opinions and views of citizens during the public comment session starting at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, lasting up to one hour. TVA will provide time limits for public comment upon registration.
Persons wishing to speak should register at the door on Tuesday between 8:30-9 a.m., and will be called on during the comment period. Handout materials should be limited to one printed page. Written comments are also invited and may be mailed to the Regional Resource Stewardship Council, Tennessee Valley Authority, 400 West Summit Hill Drive, WT 9D, Knoxville, Tn. 37902.
