Home Damaged By Fire Tuesday Morning

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a structure fire at 3106 E. 32nd Street around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
 
The first firefighters on the scene reported heavy smoke showing from the second floor of the house, which had been converted into two apartment units. Battalion Chief Chris Willmore said firefighters made an interior attack and were able to quickly contain the fire to the second floor.
No injuries were reported.

Chief Willmore said the apartments appeared to have been vacant for some time. An estimate on the dollar loss was not available. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chattanooga Police, Hamilton County EMS and EPB also provided assistance on the scene.
