Henderson Facilitates Meeting Between Mountain Creek Residents, Pratt Developer On Quarry Project

  • Tuesday, July 24, 2018

District 1 City Councilman Chip Henderson is facilitating a meeting between The Friends of Mountain Creek residents and Pratt Developers regarding Mr. Pratt’s proposed development of 177 residential units and apartments on the old Quarry Golf Course on Mountain Creek Road.

It will be Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1000 Lindsay St.

Officials of the Friends of Mountain Creek said they "represent more than 1,300 residents who oppose this development on the grounds it would have an adverse environmental impact, cause flooding and drainage issues, degrade the existing road infrastructure, and create public safety concerns due to increased traffic congestion."

The group said, "Councilman Henderson is a skilled negotiator and is seeking a compromise that will address the concerns of both residents and the developer."

All interested parties are invited to attend the meeting.
