Blue Wahoos' starting pitcher Daniel Wright only allowed one run in eight innings to lead Pensacola to a 4-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Chattanooga featured a strong pitching performance by Dietrich Enns, who threw seven strong innings, but could not muster enough offense.

The game began with three quick shutout innings.

In the fourth inning, Jose Siri belted a solo homer off the video board in left field, the Wahoos first hit of the game against Enns.

Siri's home run was the only hit for the Blue Wahoos over the first six innings until T.J. Friedl led off the seventh inning with a double. After advancing to third on a wild pitch, he scored on a bloop single into shallow center field from Aristides Aquino. The pop up hit out of the glove of Lookouts second baseman Ryan Walker who ranged far into center field to try to make the play. The run broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Blue Wahoos the lead for good.

An inning later the home team tied it up on a home run by Chris Paul. The homer was Paul's fifth of the season. Chattanooga now has had an extra-base hit 14 straight games.

The game remained tied at one until the seventh inning when the Blue Wahoos took the lead on an Arsitides Aquino RBI single. They tacked on two more in the eighth on three errors.

With Narciso Crook at first base, Taylor Featherston hit a routine single into left field, but it got by Luis Arraez and allowed Crook to advance to third. Arraez then made an errant throw back to the infield which led to Crook scoring and Featherston advancing behind him to third. Another bad throw to third base with no one covering the bag gave Featherston the chance to dash home. The three errors made it 4-1 Blue Wahoos, the final score.
