Christopher McGill, 37, was stabbed in a fight on East Brainerd Road on Sunday.
At approximately 6:49 p.m., officers of the Chattanooga Police Department were dispatched to a fight in the 7700 block of East Brainerd Road. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate a fight or victim(s), but they did observe evidence which was consistent with an altercation occurring.
At approximately 7:23 p.m., officers were advised McGill had arrived at a local hospital with an apparent stab wound to the upper back. Officers responded to the hospital and confirmed he was suffering from a life-threatening stab wound to the back, and they notified the Violent Crimes Bureau.
Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
