Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford loves each and every one of its volunteers, but the assisted living community is especially grateful for its longtime volunteers, such as Doug Madaris, who shares the gift of music with Morning Pointe’s residents.

“Doug Madaris has been volunteering with [Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford] for over five years.  He brings his own equipment and entertains residents with his piano skills,” said Holly Holcomb, the Life Enrichment director at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford.

According to Ms. Holcomb, Mr. Madaris continues to make residents smile, even when he is not officially volunteering. “When it is not his day to volunteer, he will still sit down at our piano and play several tunes for residents while he waits on his wife to leave, as she is also a volunteer,” she said.

If you are interested in volunteering with Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford, contact Holly Holcomb by phone at 423 602-2661 or by email at chattanooga-led@morningpointe.com.
