Wanda Odom
Wanda Fay Clayton Odom, 72, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in a Chattanooga hospice care center.
Wanda was born in Polk County, but was a lifelong resident of Bradley County. She was retired from Magic Chef after 20 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, antiquing and spending time with her family. She was of Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark “Woodrow” Clayton and “Edna” Belle Bates Clayton.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Dewey Odom of Cleveland; daughter, Tammy Rinehart and husband, Ray of Chattanooga; siblings, Mabel Denny and husband, Steve of Cleveland and Irene Shahan and husband, Don of Charleston; mother-in-law, Emma Odom of Etowah; favorite niece, Donna G. Shahan Symonds and husband, Rob of Jekyl Island, GA and life-long friend, Eloise Watters and husband, Chuck of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Carl Hobbs officiating. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4–6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
