John Anthony Smith III, 64, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in Hermitage, Tennessee.
John was born on June 24, 1954, to the late John H. Smith, Jr. and Marion Smith in Chattanooga. John graduated from Chattanooga High School (City High School) and worked for McKee Baking Company. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Orchard Park S.D.A. Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mom, Iris (Joseph) Smith Jackson; sisters, Mary (Luther) Smith Peterson, Audrey Smith; daughter, Kolowa Smith; son, Kahari (Faith) Smith; grandchildren, Keron, Karter, and Liam; uncles, aunts, nephews, niece, and a host of other family members and many friends.
The body will lie in state and the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m.–noon on Sunday, Aug. 26, at Orchard Park S.D.A. Church, and the funeral service will follow at noon.
