Heavy Rains Friday Night Covered Numerous Roads In Hamilton County With Rushing Or Standing Water

Heavy rains on Friday night brought localized flooding in several areas of Hixson, Middle Valley, Falling Water and Soddy Daisy.. 

Parts of Middle Valley Road, particularly near the the intersection of Thrasher Pike and the intersection of Varner Road had water running or standing over the roadway along with flooded culverts. Several side roads off Middle Valley were affected as well. 

Portions of Roberts Mill Road near the 300 and 400 blocks had approximately 1-2 feet of water over the roadway.
Parts of Jackson Road also had 1-2 feet of water over the roadway at various locations. Johnson Road had several areas of loose gravel over the roadway from driveways experiencing run off onto the roadway.

Several portions of Hixson Pike had standing water near the shoulder or in the right hand lanes.
