Host Baylor 3-0 In Invitational Soccer Tournament

The Baylor girls soccer team won three games this past weekend in their own invitational tournament.  

On Friday, Baylor beat Independence 2-0 in a game that was suspended due to lightning at the half.   Allya Cooper scored off an assist from Ara Rhodes and Mya McGee scored off an assist from Cambell Green.  

Peyton Randolph earned the shutout in goal and had no saves.  

Saturday morning, Baylor beat ECS 6-3.  Avery Davis and Mya McGee each had two goals.  Aliya Cooper and Halie Enzerra also had goals.  

Mya McGee, Maddie Reap, Avery Davis, Grace Spurling and Aliya Cooper had assists.  

ECS was led by two goals from Phoebe Harpole and one by Annie Todd.

Baylor led 2-1 at the half.  Peyton Randolph had five saves for Baylor and Taylor Huffman had eight for ECS.  

Saturday afternoon, Avery Davis scored on a penalty kick after Mya McGee got taken down in the box in the first half.  McGee scored Baylor second goal assisted by Avery Davis.   

Peyton Randolph and Shannon Urey combined for three saves for Baylor. 

"I was very proud of our team this weekend," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.  "We played a lot of games this weekend and played against some great competition. We played some great soccer, but also showed areas that we need to improve on over the next week."
