Mud Run For Veterans Set For Sept. 1

  • Thursday, August 2, 2018
The annual Scenic City Mud Run is just one month away, and will once again support the Southeast Tennessee Veterans Coalition.  CHI Memorial partnered with the event last year as title sponsor and is continuing again this year.

The obstacle course race will take place on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Greenway Farms in Hixson and includes “warrior style” obstacles, multiple mud pits and an "epic slip and slide."  Participants can choose to run individually or as a team, competitive or non-competitive and have the ability to select their preferred race time.

New this year, all finishers will receive a medal in addition to the t-shirt.

An after-party to support the Coalition will be on-site with games and refreshments and several local military installations will be in attendance.

Each year more than 1,000 racers participate in the event, and this year Scenic City Mud Run is hoping to set record numbers of attendees to help the Coalition with their new building downtown, as well as to continue to provide resources for local Veterans who need assistance.
