Carolyn Tomic
Carolyn Elizabeth Tomic, 75, of Soddy Daisy, passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 18, 2018.
Carolyn was born in Milan, In., on Sept. 10, 1942. She graduated from Dillsboro High School in 1960. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Ball State Teachers College and her Masters degree from Ball State University. She taught school in Indiana for nine years before getting married on June 14, 1969, to John Tomic. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend, teacher, sportswoman, and house builder. Raising her children was her greatest love. For her it has always been appreciation of the Simple Things. She would want each of us to remember with a smile on our faces: her humor, silliness, kindnesses, and love. So please help us celebrate a wonderful life.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Tomic; son, John Andrew Tomic; daughter, Lt Col Stacy Marie Tomic; and twin sister, Kathryn Pasch.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
