Helen Ross McNabb Center Welcomes Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Ronda Huisman To Its Hamilton County Clinical Staff

The Helen Ross McNabb Center announced the addition of Ronda Huisman, nurse practitioner in family and psychiatric mental health, to its team of providers. Ms. Huisman, who specializes in psychiatric mental health, is providing care at the Hamilton County adult center.

Ms. Huisman attended Southern Adventist University where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1996.

She earned her master’s degree in nursing from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in 2009 and completed her post-master’s in psychiatric mental health at Southern Adventist University in 2017.

Prior to joining the Helen Ross McNabb Center, Ms. Huisman worked as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Volunteer Behavioral Health and the Counsel for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, both in Chattanooga.

“We are excited to welcome Ronda Huisman to our team,” said Gayle Lodato, Helen Ross McNabb Center senior director. “Her passion for others and her desire to provide the highest quality of care will make her an asset to the Helen Ross McNabb Center team.”

Ms. Huisman will provide psychiatric assessments and medication monitoring for children, adolescents and adults.
