The Dalton Police Department is asking for information from the public to identify a suspect who approached a woman leaving the Planet Fitness gym on Tuesday and brandished a knife.

The victim was able to get away in her car and was unharmed. The suspect was driving a 1998-2002 model silver Honda Accord coupe with a spoiler and sunroof.

The suspect brandished a knife and leaned against the car and told the victim to drive away. The victim was able to close and lock the door to her car and drove away from her parking spot. She stopped on the other side of the parking lot to collect herself and observed the suspect driving out of the lot in the Accord coupe.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing a ball cap with a beard, standing approximately six feet tall with an average build in his late 20s or early 30s.
