Smoking Cessation Classes

Erlanger Health System offers free smoking cessation classes at multiple locations weekly on Tuesday through Thursday.  The classes are free and are offered at multiple locations. The classes begin at 4:30 p.m. and usually last an hour. Erlanger East, North and Baroness Hospitals offer the weekly courses. Support Group for Metabolic and Bariatric Patients

Erlanger Health System’s Metabolic and Bariatric Center is offering a support group meeting on Aug. 27. The meeting, ran by Elizabeth O’Brien will focus on the theme, “How am I self-sabotaging my success?” The support group will meet at Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation in the Outpatient Conference room from 5:30-6:30 p.m. For more information call 778-2906.

 

Men’s Health Seminar

The seminar, led by Dr. Anand Shridharani, fellowship-trained urologist with Erlanger Urology’s Men’s Health Clinic, covers courses and treatments for men’s health issues, including erectile dysfunction (ED). Seminar begins at 6 p.m. in Classroom A at Erlanger East Hospital.

Living Well with Diabetes

A six-week evidence-based program to help individuals diagnosed with diabetes live a healthier life. The course begins Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Classroom A at Erlanger East Hospital from 2-4:30 p.m. Participants will receive free class materials.

Living Well Yoga

Come roll out a mat with Certified Health Coach, Christine Smith, and get your weekly dose of yoga. Wednesdays, beginning September 19, at 5 PM in the Patient Tower Lobby, Entrance A.

Monogrammed Maternity

Provides a personalized approach to childbirth education tailored to a couples’ unique needs. This one-on-one session with our Prenatal Educator enables couples to privately discuss their personalized birth plans, begin the admission process, visit with a lactation consultant, and ask questions that make the birth experience less stressful. Sessions are scheduled as early as 34 weeks.

Breastfeeding Support Group

Meet with other breastfeeding and pregnant mothers on the third Tuesday of each month in Classroom B from 10 a.m.-noon. Topics, facilitated by a certified lactation consultant, include: 

- Getting breastfeeding off to a good start in the hospital;
- Handling common challenges to breastfeeding success;
- Incorporating dad in the care of the breastfed baby; and
- Tips on making those early weeks at home easier.

Cost: free

Childbirth Classes: 

Erlanger East Hospital offers a wide variety of affordable childbirth classes. Don’t wait until the last minute to receive the education you need for  a safe, less stressful birth experience.
