The United Championship Racing Alliance (UCRA) returns to Gary Halls "Bad-Fast-Taz" Tazewell Speedway in upper East Tennessee on Saturday, Aug. 11, for its second $3,000 to-WIN / 50 lap championship points battle of the season.
The ultra-high banked clay oval saw UCRA fan-favorite "The Dirty White Boy" Anthony White (# 2x) of Clinton, Tn. pick-up his victory during Round # 4's June event White currently trails current UCRA points leader Jimmy Elliott (# J39) of Cleveland, Tn. by 12-points heading into Round # 6.
Five different winners have visited UCRA Victory Lane so far in 2018, the most recent being former UCRA champion Jake Teague of Petross, Tn. Previous UCRA winners at Tazewell include White in 2015 & 2017 and local fan favorite Jason Trammel (# 97) of Knoxville won last year's inaugural "Bad-Fast-Taz" event.
Michael Courtney of Knoxville leads the batch of Rookie of the Year contenders that include Georgian Devin Stuart and Alabama's Sam Seawright. "Kidd-Quik" Kyle Courtney of Knoxville, Kenny Kizzar of Graysville Mtn, Tn and Crossville's Jesse Lowe (2017's Rookie of the Year and Champion Runner-Up) are just a few of the racers that will be expected Saturday along with the likes of Phillip Thompson, Josh Fields, Pierce McCarter, Jody Horton, Ross White and Ryan Winchester from the East Tennessee area.
