Covenant College announces the third annual L’Abri Lectures at Covenant College. They will take place on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. L’Abri Lectures at Covenant College is an open time of honest questions and honest answers about the Christian faith.
In the 1960s and 70s, Covenant College hosted L’Abri Conferences on campus, welcomed Francis Schaeffer to speak in chapel, and maintained a close tie with many members of the L’Abri community. L'Abri is a French word that means "shelter," and L'Abri communities are study centers in Europe, Asia, and North and South America, where Christian and non-Christian individuals have the opportunity to seek answers to honest questions about God and the significance of human life.
The College reunited with L’Abri in 2016 to form the inaugural L’Abri Lectures event at Covenant College. Since then, the College community and friends of the College have benefited tremendously from the honest and challenging lecture series.
Running from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the event will include three lectures followed by time for questions and discussion. Lunch will be provided at the event along with morning and afternoon tea, coffee, and refreshments.
The L'Abri Lectures will be delivered on the Covenant College campus, in Brock Hall, rooms 118 - 122.
Men and women of all ages are invited to attend the event, although no childcare will be provided.
