The Chattanooga Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will host an event to bring together the music community and preview upcoming events in the Chattanooga area on Sunday, Sept. 30 from 2-4 p.m. at Heritage House, 1428 Jenkins Road.
"Enjoy an afternoon of light refreshment in a beautiful setting among fellow organists and music lovers," organizers said.
The mission of the American Guild of Organists is "to foster a thriving community of musicians, sharing and promoting a passion for knowledge and appreciation in all aspects of organ and choral music." The Chattanooga chapter sponsors regional concerts, recitals and musical programs throughout the year that are free and open to the public.
This fall gathering is open to musicians of all ages, as well as organ and music enthusiasts interested in the growing organ community in Chattanooga and the surrounding area.
Activities in addition to a light tea will include drawings for prizes, a music sale and information regarding membership and opportunities for scholarships and events within the AGO organization.
