Lois Elizabeth Godfrey, 90, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018, at a local health care facility.  

She was retired from GE Supply. Lois was a member at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano. She devoted her life to the music at her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lora Eslinger Godfrey; and sister, Velma Masengil. 

She is survived by her nephews, Larry Masengill (Lana), Alan Massengale of Los Angeles, Ca., and Ken Masengil (Nancy) of Chattanooga; four great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Donald Cartwright, John Bagby, Andrew Frazier, Robert Rymer, Richard Rymer and Carl Haney will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
