Miller Park Concert Series Kicks Off Wednesday

Noontunes, a weekly midday free concert series, kicks off its third season in the newly opened Miller Park on Wednesday. Sponsored by Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Noontunes is a Wednesday showcase at noon featuring a variety of local Chattanooga musicians.

The first week’s performance will be classic soul group Dr. B and the Ease. Subsequent artists for the remainder of the season include folk trio Spinster, hip hop artist Floami Fly, jazz performer Mary Loves Jazz and funk fusion group Over Easy. 

For Noontunes, attendees will enjoy the new Miller Park including available seating and tents for shade cover on the lawn along with food trucks each Wednesday. This Wednesday, food vendors include I Love Tacos, Bob CHA, Go Gyro Go, Frios Popsicles and Peet’s Coffee and Tea will be available. 

Running for 10 shows every Wednesday until Nov. 28, Noontunes will be live streamed on the Chattanooga Fun Facebook page operated by the Chattanooga Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and recorded and aired on Thursday night’s on WUTC 88.1.

The first show is Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. All subsequent shows are Wednesdays at noon through Nov. 28.

This is the third year for Noontunes, and the program’s goal is to grow Chattanooga’s music economy.
