NSDAR Judge David Campbell Chapter Teaches Flag Etiquette And History At Daisy Elementary

  • Wednesday, September 19, 2018

Judge David Campbell Chapter members Pennie Layne and Nancy Larson enjoyed an afternoon visiting 62, first and 53, fourth graders at Daisy Elementary School.  Students learned about patriotism, respecting first responders, community heroes, flag etiquette, the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance, and learned flag history from the American Revolutionary War to present day.   Daisy students were outstanding listeners and displayed patriotism when they received their mini flags, said the chapter members.

Principal Ziegler accepted a donated 8X5 foot flag kit from Buffalo Valley, Inc.  The fourth and first grade teachers were appreciative of the donation for Daisy Elementary School.

Daisy Elementary will be honoring veterans on Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. at their annual Veteran’s Day assembly.

The Judge David Campbell chapter plans on visiting several more elementary schools in Hamilton and Marion Counties in the near future.
