Food Truck Fridays Coming To Miller Park

  • Thursday, September 20, 2018

With a newly opened park, there will also be a new slate of events and programs to be found in Downtown Chattanooga’s Miller Park, including Food Truck Fridays sponsored by Market City Center. Food Truck Fridays will happen every Friday, Sept. 28 through Nov. 16 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Miller Park, 928 Market St.

In addition to the Rolling J’s Mobile Bistro, Chatter Box Cafe, Clumpies Ice Cream Co. and Go Gyro Go food trucks that will be located on Market Street right beside Miller Park, each Friday will feature a different arts and cultural organization concluded by a local vendor fair to build community in the new public space.

“Miller Park is a wonderfully designed new public space in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga’s Innovation District,” states Meagan Shinn, program director at River City Company. “And people want activity, events and reasons to go to public places where a program like Food Truck Fridays comes into play. Not only can you get great local food from the food trucks or one of the many surrounding restaurants, but also you get to enjoy local performances and entertainment on your lunch break, free of charge.”

"River City Company is organizing Food Truck Fridays to build momentum and create a sense of place in Miller Park, provide an opportunity for downtown work teams to enjoy lunch outings together and cultivate community in City Center to spur economic development and create memorable opportunities for Chattanoogans in the newly renovated park," officials said.
