Douglas Long Killed In Head-On Collision In Cleveland

A man was killed after a head-on collision in Cleveland on Thursday afternoon.

The collision occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m.at the 4600 block of Georgetown Road. A blue 2003 Dodge 1500 driven by Kasi Shell, was northbound on Georgetown road when it crossed the center line into the southbound lane and struck a tan 2000 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Douglas Long. 

The drivers were the only occupants in their vehicles. Mr. Long was transported via Lifeforce to Erlanger and Ms. Shell was transported by ground to Erlanger. Ms. Shell received minor injuries in the collision and Mr. Long received severe injuries and later died. 

No evidence of alcohol was found at the scene. 

The Cleveland Police Department Crash Response Team was deployed and took over the crash investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
