Fire Damages Home In East Lake Thursday Night

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a residential fire at 2597 E. 40th Street shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday.
 
Battalion Chief Chris Warren said heavy fire was showing on the front of the house when the first firefighters arrived on the scene. All of the occupants got out of the house without injury.
Chief Warren said the fire was brought under control in 15 minutes.

The fire caused significant damage to the home, though an estimate on the dollar loss was not available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
