Janette Fain, 50, a current resident of Cleveland, and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

She was born on May 30, 1968. Janette was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church II of Riceville, Tn. She was a certified medical assistant and worked at Dayton Pediatrics for many years. Janette enjoyed travel and going to the beach. She will be forever remembered for being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lee and Eva Lee Townsend and Reed and Ersa Bryant. 

Janette leaves behind to cherish her memory loving and devoted husband, Terry Fain, one son, Colton Deverell, two daughters, Emily Fain and Megan Fain, one granddaughter who was her pride and joy, Emma Deverell, mother and stepfather, Linda and Claude Womac, father and stepmother, George and Eileen Townsend, two sisters, Cindy Duncan (Jerry) and Debbie Townsend, one brother Dan Townsend, several step brothers and sisters, numerous other extended family members, and a host of special friends. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 4-8 p.m. in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home.

A celebration of her life is planned for Thursday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Cleveland chapel of Companion Funeral Home at 2419 Georgetown Road with the Reverend Titus Snyder and the Reverend Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Family Cemetery in Englewood, TN with Colton Deverell, Tyler Richesin, Dan Townsend, Jerry Duncan, Boone Walker and Doug Cline serving as pallbearers. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Rees Skillern Cancer Institute in Janette’s memory. These donations can be made by visiting the web site www.memorial.org/make-a-gift and choosing the option for Rees Skillern Cancer Institute. 

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Bertrand Anz of Tennessee Oncology and his staff along with Memorial Oncology Nursing Staff.
