Shawnquell Stanfield, 19, Shot And Killed Monday Night; Juvenile Suspect In Custody

Shawnquell Stanfield, 19, was shot and killed Monday night at the 3100 block North Chamberlain Avenue.

At approximately 10:23 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the area of North Chamberlain Avenue and Wilder Street on reports of shots fired. 

Upon checking the area, police located the victim lying on the ground who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Hamilton County EMS transported her to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. 

During the investigation, police were able to identify a suspect.

While being interviewed, the juvenile suspect admitted to shooting the victim.

The suspect is charged with criminal homicide, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, especially aggravated robbery, theft over $10,000 and felony reckless endangerment.

The juvenile suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
