A local attorney said a man who was hired to paint his house and an associate entered his home, cooked some food, used the shower and helped themselves to some items.

He said a couple of days later one of the men, Neal Goins, returned wearing a shirt he (the attorney) had bought while in the Caribbean on a cruise.

An incident report says the wife of the attorney hired Goins to paint the garage.  He showed up with another man, Jeremy Cole Watson of Trenton, Ga.

Both men entered the house without permission, stole several items of clothing and a camcorder with a tripod, it was stated. They also took food from the freezer.

The attorney said the camcorder was located by his brother-in-law, who is friends with Goins.

He said Goins admitted that they had entered the house and stolen the items, worth over $1,000.

Watson has been taken into custody on a charge of aggravated burglary.
