I am against the installation of a sewage treatment plant at Ooltewah Ringgold Road and Mahan Gap Road. I hope the population in this area will stand-up to oppose this installation.
My main concern is where the effluent from this plant will be sent. I have a feeling it will be sent into the Harrison Bay area of Lake Chickamauga. If you want to see the effect of this, go down below Moccasin Bend and observe the huge plume of brownish water and other items, flushed into the river and washed away by the current from the Chattanooga waste treatment plant. Mr. Harrison said it would only be a "drop in the bucket," I say "keep it in his bucket'. It's bad enough we send it to Marion County, but wait, we get it from Knoxville.
Most houses in this area are on septic systems, only new houses would be put on the sewer line. If this means that I am against developments, then I am against it. Leave it alone and save Harrison Bay.
I realize there is a lot more to this, so I don't need to be told. It won't change my mind, Again, leave it alone.
