Pair Arrested After Pursuit On Suck Creek Road

Two people were taken into custody after a chase on Suck Creek Road on Monday night.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff Office deputies patrolling the area noticed a vehicle driving erratically near Suck Creek Road.
Deputies recognized the driver as a person known to be wanted for several charges regarding a prior incident.
 
The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. 

Deputies believed the driver to be impaired and conducted an intervention in order to get the vehicle and suspects under control. Once the vehicle was forced to stop, the driver of the vehicle fled into the woods and was pursued by deputies. The female passenger was taken into custody without incident. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. 

The male driver was transported to a local hospital for medical review. He faces numerous charges including two counts of felony evading. More charges are pending. The driver also has warrants from Marion County as well. 

The female passenger was the owner of the vehicle and was to be charged with DUI by consent and driving on revoked by consent. 

The names of the male driver and female passenger are not being released at this time. This incident remains under investigation
