Children and adults of all ages will enjoy two days of family fun at the Tennessee Riverpark benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga at the Autumn Children’s Festival on Oct. 6 and 7. At the festival attendees celebrate fall while supporting families with sick children; all proceeds benefit families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
During the two-day festival there will be food, activities, crafts and games for all ages, including a petting zoo, face painting, carnival games with prizes, arts and crafts, kiddie train, hayrides, as well as health, wellness, and educational programs and more. Activities range from only 50 cents to $3.
The Autumn Children's Festival will be Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 7, from 1-5 p.m.
Admission and parking are free.
The Autumn Children’s Festival is the longest and largest running children’s festival in the area. The event generates over $65,000 for the charity each year. It costs the charity $66 to cover the cost of one family for one night and an average of 28 families stay per day. Last year, the Festival raised $80,000 which helped cover the total cost of the House (28 families each night) for 43 nights.
