O'Brien Charged With Investment Fraud

  • Friday, September 7, 2018

Michael Curtis O'Brien is facing federal fraud charges in connection with an alleged investment fraud.

Authorities said O'Brien made false claims about a device called a "Topper Off" that he said would allow a single user to remove the hard top of certain Jeep brand SUVs.

A complaint says he falsely claimed that the device was in mass production and that a global manufacturing company had made mass orders.

He obtained money from a number of investors under false pretense, it was stated.

He is represented by attorney Stevie Phillips.
