American Heart Association Celebrates 40th Year In Schools

  • Monday, January 14, 2019
School leaders say they are working to make a difference in the physical and emotional well-being of children in Hamilton County by participating in American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge (KHC) program to take a pledge to make better heart health choices.

"Through KHC, kids learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and raise money to help kids with special hearts," officials said.  "Have fun, learn how to stay healthy and make a difference in the lives of others."

“The Kids Heart Challenge engages the children in educational messaging about heart health in a fun, interactive way,” said Dr.
Bryan Johnson, Hamilton County Schools superintendent. “The program teaches kids about how to create a better future for themselves while fundraising to help those who are not as healthy.”

All elementary and middle schools in Hamilton County are encouraged to participate. Visit www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge to find your child’s school page or get started today.
