Chattanooga Police Seek Information In Murder Of Taja Whiteside, 30, On Jan. 11

Chattanooga Police are seeking information in the death of Taja Whiteside, 30, which happened on Jan. 11. The death has now been ruled a homicide.

Chattanooga Police responded at approximately 11:52 a.m. to a CPR in progress call at a residence in the 5800 block of Moody Sawyer Road. Upon arrival, police located the victim who was unresponsive. Hamilton County EMS pronounced Ms. Whiteside deceased at the scene.
 
Police secured the area and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Bureau to respond.
The manner of the death was not immediately clear during the course of the preliminary investigation.
 
The ruling of homicide was made based on the CPD's investigation and discussion with the Hamilton County Medical Examiner.
