Motorcyclist Killed In Wreck On Cummings Highway At Foot Of Lookout Mountain Early Saturday Morning

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Cummings Highway at the foot of Lookout Mountain early Saturday morning.
 
At approximately 12:48 a.m., Hamilton County Sheriff's Office personnel were dispatched to a motorcycle crash with injuries in the 2100 block of Cummings Highway. 

HCSO traffic Investigators  were notified and dispatched to the scene due to the extent of injuries of the rider. 
 
At this time, investigators believe this to be a single-vehicle, single-occupant traffic fatality.
 
It appears the rider was operating his motorcycle west on Cummings Highway when he lost control of the motorcycle and hit the guard rail.
 The motorcycle continued to slide on the roadway and the rider went under the guard rail and came to rest.

No names are being released at this time.
 
The location is between the John C. Wilson Park and the turn up toward Ruby Falls.
