Notre Dame’s volleyball season came to a stop Saturday afternoon in Collierville as the Lady Irish fell to St. George’s, 3-0. In a Division II-A quarterfinal match. Set scores were 26-24, 25-20 and 25-15.
Junior outside hitter McKenna Brown once again led the way with 10 kills, to go with seven digs and five blocks, against a team that head coach Dan Clotfelter said in a phone call with a reporter, "could win it all in Murfreesboro next week."
Junior libero Gwen Jimenez had 16 digs and Sophomore Mary Fillauer had 20 assists.
The Lady Irish, who will lose only senior Jazzmyne Watkins to graduation, finished the season at 33-11.
