The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will host a free Veteran’s Day concert in partnership with Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m.
This will be the 8th year that the CSO has presented the special event, and they will be joined once again by the Lee University Singers and Director Brad Moffett for a program of patriotic classics such as God Bless America, Armed Forces Salute, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and more. The afternoon will also showcase original works by local composers.
“We are honored to show our appreciation to veterans and active-duty service members with a free Veteran's Day concert,” says Kayoko Dan, CSO music director. “This family-friendly event will consist of patriotic music to celebrate America and its freedom, as well as a sing-along to some audience favorites. We are also excited to be joined by the talented Lee University Singers and to feature works by Chattanooga composers, including Kenyon Wilson, Douglas Hedwig, Tim Hinck, and Jonathan McNair."
Seating for the concert is general admission. For more information, call the CSO Box Office at 267-8583 or visit the CSO’s website at chattanoogasymphony.org.
