Governor Brian Kemp has named Kelly Loeffler to take the U.S. Senate seat of Johnny Isakson, who is resigning due to health reasons.
Ms. Loeffler is the chief executive officer of Bakkt, a subsidiary of commodity and financial service provider Intercontinental Exchange.
She is the co-owner of the Atlanta Dream, a team in the Women's National Basketball Association.
