Chattanooga FC Partners With National Parks

  • Friday, April 19, 2019
Chattanooga FC returns to Finley Stadium on Saturday, April 27th to face AFC Mobile, and it will be a special night for those of us who love our local National Park. In coordination with National Park week (4/20-4/28) Chattanooga FC will be raising awareness and funds for National Park Partners, a local organization dedicated to conserving and promoting the natural, historic, and cultural resources of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and Moccasin Bend National Archeological District.

“This is a great opportunity to raise awareness about the great work National Park Partners is doing in our area,” said Sheldon Grizzle president of Chattanooga FC.
“We support their hard work in preserving some of our community’s most beautiful assets for generations to come.”

There will be a number of events to support this collaboration, including a “pint night” at Chattanooga Brewing Company the evening of April 25th; Chattanooga FC and National Park Partners items and experiences up for auction; National Park awareness videos; and more.

“We are incredibly excited for this inaugural National Park Night with the Chattanooga Football Club,” remarked Tricia Mims, executive director of National Park Partners. “The opportunity to partner with an organization that is uniquely Chattanoogan compliments our work nicely in preserving the National Park places that shaped our city.”

Chattanooga FC will be donating a portion of proceeds from ticket sales to National Park Partners. The club will also be hosting an online auction featuring game-worn jerseys and unique experiences in the region’s national park.

To support National Park Partners, fans can get tickets at ChattanoogaFC.com and use code NPPCFC19.

National Park Partners was established in 2018 through the consolidation of the Friends of Moccasin Bend and the Friends of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. We champion the conservation of the natural, historic, and cultural resources of Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, including Moccasin Bend National Archeological District. We engage current and future generations in preserving and promoting the stories of these national treasures. Learn more at www.npp-ccm.org.
