Thunder Enterprises has finalized the purchase of Riverton, a 200-acre property along the Tennessee River at Rivermont. The owners "plan to create beautiful home sites with dense lots that will offer residents stunning views of the Tennessee River and Lookout Mountain," it was stated.
“We envision a community of the highest quality with the amenities to provide an exceptional quality of life for Riverton’s future residents,” said Dane Bradshaw, president of Thunder Enterprises.
“We are still in the initial planning phases, but we imagine this community will surround a village center and include important assets including a wellness center, living and working spaces, green space and walking trails.”
Approximately 400 homes will be built on the property, signaling a $300 million investment in the area. Thunder Enterprises will soon finalize the building plan and engage with residents in the area. The company is experienced in creating master-planned communities and developing premier properties throughout the region.
For the Riverton plan, Thunder Enterprises has also engaged Canin Associates, an Orlando, Florida-based firm that specializes in urban planning, landscape and architecture. The Canin team has planned and designed many spectacular communities across the country, it was stated.
“Our design team, made up of skilled urban planners, landscape architects and architects, is eager to get started with this exciting project in Chattanooga,” said Brian Canin, president of Canin Associates. “The site is exceptional with rolling topography and outstanding views of the river. The community will be anchored by a beautiful, intimately scaled village center energized by an elegantly landscaped public square.”
Officials said, "Thunder Enterprises will share plans for the community within the coming months and looks forward to bringing the vision to life while collaborating with the city of Chattanooga."
Thunder Enterprises, located in Kimball, Tennessee, is a developer of fine homes and master-planned communities Wyoming, Montana, North Carolina, Hawaii, and most recently Jasper Highlands mountaintop community. It is headed by John "Thunder" Thornton.
