Officers In Chattanooga Nab Armed Robbery Suspect At Ooltewah I-75 Exit After Chase From Knoxville

Law enforcement officers in Chattanooga on Friday afternoon nabbed a teen wanted for three counts of aggravated robbery after a chase that began in Knoxville.

Taken into custody at the Ooltewah exit of I-75 was Theonda Thorne, 19.

At approximately 3 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department joined an ongoing multi-agency pursuit of the suspect. Thome was able to elude law enforcement in Knoxville who were attempting to serve the felony warrants. 

The pursuit ended in Chattanooga at 1100 I-75 Southbound where police were able to stop the suspect and take him into custody. 

Thorne was transported to a local hospital via Hamilton County EMS as a precaution.
He was to be transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Assisting in locating and apprehending the suspect are the following agencies: The U.S. Marshals, The Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force, The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Knox County Sheriffs Office, Knox County Airwatch, Knoxville Police Department, Bradley County Sheriffs Office, Collegedale Police Department, Blount County Sheriffs Office, and the Anderson County Sheriffs Office.
