Korey Reeves
A Chattanooga man on Tuesday had his case advance to the Grand Jury on a charge of killing a woman in a hit and run in 2018.
Korey Reeves allegedly ran over and killed Aneitra Kincy while in his car on Lee Highway.
Reeves was charged with failure to report an accident, failure to render aid, and leaving the scene of an accident that involved a death or personal injury.
Reeves’ attorney told General Sessions Court Judge Gary Starnes that her client was waiving his right to a preliminary hearing and a bond hearing.
The case was then handed over to the grand jury, which could send the case on to Criminal Court.
Police found Ms. Kincy’s shoe in the middle of the road, and quickly discovered her deceased body in a ditch beside the highway.
Ms. Kincy was homeless by choice, and was a well-known figure in the community. She would often speak to anyone who would listen, and offered free prayers to to those going by.
Reeves, 50, was arrested a month after the incident, and was taken into custody at the Hamilton County Jail, where he still resides.
