Change In Water Distribution Site Locations Made To Accommodate Neighborhoods With Greater Need

  • Saturday, September 14, 2019

As some neighborhoods in Chattanooga’s lower elevations continue to regain adequate water pressure, the Chattanooga Police Department and the Youth & Family Development Centers will be reallocating some bottled water distribution efforts to areas of greater immediate need.

According to Tennessee American Water officials, boiled water continues to be safe for consumption and cooking.

With that in mind, officials are asking residents who have flowing water to adhere to the water boil advisory and allow bottled water to be distributed to high elevation areas that still have little or no water service as of this evening.

If you have already received a case of water today officials ask that you please conserve that so families are not getting multiple cases per day. They said, "It is vital that we are able to distribute to our vulnerable populations and communities still without water."

NEW WATER DISTRIBUTION LOCATIONS:

  • John A. Patten YFD Center, 3202 Kelly's Ferry Road

  • North Chattanooga YFD Center, 406 May Street

  • Chattanooga Police and Fire Training Center, 3200 Amnicola Highway

These locations will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday. If you are absolutely unable to travel to get water you can call 311 at 423 643-6311.
