  • Tuesday, January 28, 2020

An East Ridge man has been sentenced to serve 63 months in federal prison on drug charges.

Steven Hawk appeared before Judge Sandy Mattice.

Prosecutors said East Ridge Police and its Swat Team carried out a search of Hawk's home on April 26, 2018.

The search at the residence on Connelly Lane turned up numerous plastic baggies stamped 410.

Police said they went to Bud's Sports Bar on Brainerd Road where co-workers said Hawk had handed $980 cash to another person working there when he suspected that police were watching him.

Police were told that Hawk had hidden meth at a shed at the business.

He will also be on supervised release for five years.
