Jeraldine J. Hill, beloved wife, mother, Grammy, sister, and friend entered the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Her kindness to others and love to all will be greatly missed.
Jerri was born on July 16, 1946, to Gerald and Alva Evans James. She lived in Chattanooga all her life, graduated from Central High School, and retired from the Chattanooga Health Department. Jerri was devoted to the Lord her entire life and was currently a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Jerri was a woman of great faith. She enjoyed reading, being outdoors enjoying the sunshine, and spending time with friends and family. She especially treasured her time with her granddaughters and leaves a wonderful example to them of a life well lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws John and Gene Elizabeth Hill; brothers, Bob and Alfred James; and sister-in-law, Patty Booth.
She will be cherished by those left behind, her loving husband of 52 years, Joe; daughter, Rebecca Franks (James); son, Jason Hill (Shasta Pearce); granddaughters; Ansley and Abigail Franks; sister, Sue McDonald (John); brother, Roy James (Cindy); several nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors who have shown her so much kindness over these past few years.
In light of current conditions, burial will be private at Forest Hills Cemetery with the Reverend Larry Williams officiating.
