Georgia Has 162 New Coronavirus Deaths; 6,515 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Friday there have been 162 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 11,670.

There were 6,515 new cases, as that total reached 707,750 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 47,950, 270 more than Thursday.

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 4,203 cases, up 52; 45 deaths; 175 hospitalizations, up 1

Chattooga County: 1,880 cases, up 24; 49 deaths; 127 hospitalizations

Dade County: 809 cases, up 11; 8 deaths; 44 hospitalizations, up 1

Walker County: 4,796 cases, up 41; 61 deaths; 199 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 12,998 cases, up 100; 156 deaths; 625 hospitalizations
