Peggy Smith
Peggy Carter Smith, 64, passed away on February 20, 2021, in Chattanooga.
She was a member of Saint Paul A.M.E. Church. Peggy was a graduate of Brainerd High School, class of 1976.
Peggy loved being around her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and feeding others. She loved listening to her music. Peggy was a precious and loving daughter.
Those left to cherish her memories, mother, Rozzie Carter, Chattanooga; father and stepmother, Cyrus L. (Virginia) Carter, Sr., Chattanooga; husband, Bruce Smith; two sons, Bruce Smith, Jr., and Dominique Smith, both of Chattanooga; one grandson, Deshan Smith, Bath, New York; two brothers, Cyrus L. (Heidi) Carter, Jr., Louisville, Kentucky, and Thaddeus (Carolyn) Carter, Ellenwood, Georgia; dear friends, Catherine Lane, Bedelia Russell, and Netta Goode.
A public viewing will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, followed by a 10:30 a.m. graveside service. Interment will be in Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
