Nellie Martin
Nellie Martin, 90, of Chattanooga, and formerly of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
Nellie was a domestic travel manager and retired from AAA after 30 years. She could tell everyone where to go.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burble and Ida Richardson; brother, Burble Richardson, Jr.; and sister, Joyce Furlough.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Allen J. Martin of Chattanooga; daughter, Ardis Cole of Virginia; granddaughter, Daren Beagle of Colorado; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws; Charles and Wilma Martin of Hixson; Joyce and Blaine Pennington of Chattanooga; Vickie and Roy Smith of Dalton; and Susie and Danny Smith of Ringgold.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dwight Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
